Account Deletion & Data Requests

You have the right to request deletion of your AKINF2P account and personal information. This page explains how to do so and what information may be retained.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your account and personal data, send an email to business.akinf2p@gmail.com with:
- The subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your AKINF2P account
- A brief statement requesting account deletion
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm completion by email.
2. What Is Deleted
Upon successful deletion, we will remove or anonymise the following:
- Your account credentials and authentication data
- Your profile information (display name, profile picture, bio)
- Your personal data associated with your account
3. Information That May Be Retained
Some information may need to be retained after account deletion for legitimate purposes:
- Payment Records: Transaction records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by South African tax and financial regulations.
- Community Messages: Messages you posted in the community chat may remain visible after account deletion, as they are part of the chat history. Your name may be anonymised.
- Security Logs: Limited security and access logs may be retained for fraud prevention and security purposes.
- Legal Obligations: We may retain information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Access Requests
Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. To make a data access request, email business.akinf2p@gmail.com with the subject line: "Data Access Request". We will respond within 30 days.
5. Data Correction Requests
If you believe any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may request correction by emailing business.akinf2p@gmail.com.
